Very well written. When using medical terminology, A brief explanation of the meaning is always included. She does not talk down to the readers, but rather includes them in, like a conversation with a good friend. The storyline is always interesting, and a few twists and turns keeps everyone guessing. Excellent writing skills, a sense of humor, and plenty of action keep the story moving at s fast pace. An all around excellent book.
I read a review copy of this book through the Voracious Readers Only program. I found it to be quite a good read, technically accurate in the medical information. It has good character development, a sound plot, and an easy to read style.
I liked the flow of the book. I also liked the characters of Sam, James and Dylan.
Do you enjoy a murder mystery that has several different potential causes? This mystery involves safety hazards in the workplace that have gone too long without being remedied. In addition, there is medical information as Sam tries to learn more about the possible causes. Together these elements lead to an interesting story.
Not having read the first two books in the series, I needed to be introduced to the cast of characters. The full background wasn't provided, but I caught most of the details fast enough to really enjoy this book. Reading the first two will not doubt remove any confusion.Sam works in a clinic mostly used by business for drug testing of prospective employees and one the job injuries. She cares about her patients and wants to give them the best care possible. Not all employers want the same because of the cost and they want their employees back at work. This attitude led to a workplace supervisor refusing Sam's instructions, insisting he knew what was best for the company and the employee.Another patient gets her son to bring to the clinic so Sam can have a look at him as he refused to get medical treatment. He has reddened eyes, so Sam suggests he use eye drops. Turns out he works for the same supervisor. The clinics contract with that company is up for renewal, so Sam is sent to the plant with the salesman and told to make nice. Things start heating up pretty fast and the plot twists come one after another. If you like fast paced, twisty plotted stories, this is the one for you. I loved it and hope you do too.I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
